Dogs Rescued From Vermont Puppy Mill
54 dogs were rescued from a Bakersfield, Vermont property Tuesday. The Vermont State Police called in The Humane Society of the United States to help handle the dogs and bring them to safety. Now they'll get the medical treatment they need.

20 dogs were seized on a Gary, Indiana property after local authorities got a tip about an alleged dog fighting ring. The Humane Society of the United States was there to help rescue the dogs. Four suspects were taken into custody.

North Carolina Puppy Mill Rescue
The HSUS's Animal Rescue Team was called in by Caldwell County Animal Control to assist in the rescue of approximately 300 dogs from a Hudson, North Carolina puppy mill.
